About GRTA

Great Redwood Trail Agency

The Great Redwood Trail Agency (GRTA) is a public agency established by the Great Redwood Trail Agency Act, Government Code § 93000 et seq., to develop and manage the Great Redwood Trail. The agency replaced the North Coast Railroad Authority (NCRA) in 2021.

GRTA will work collaboratively with California Native American tribes, residents, landowners, business, community-based organizations, and government partners to solve problems and oversee this world-class trail network.
