About The Trail
Great Redwood Trail
Spanning more than 300 miles, the Great Redwood Trail will be a world-class, multi-use rail-to-trail connecting San Francisco Bay to Humboldt Bay. The trail will travel through some of the most remote and scenic landscapes in the United States, traversing old-growth redwood forests, running alongside oak woodlands and vineyards, and winding through the magnificent Eel River Canyon.
No two trail users are alike. For nearby residents, the trail can provide a way to exercise and get around in their community. For tourists, it may be an opportunity to access and see an iconic view or a charming small town. And for the adventurers, it may present the next great backcountry experience in California.
